The Mercedes-Benz flagship sedan adapts to a rapidly advancing high-end luxury vehicle class for 2007. The all-new S-Class is longer and is immediately available with a 510-horsepower V-12 engine as well as a high-performance S65 AMG model. The two-door version of the S-Class, the Mercedes-Benz CL-Class, is also retooled for 2007. Built on a similar platform as the M-Class, the all-new GL-Class is developed as a longer luxury crossover vehicle tailored to three-row seating. The Mercedes-Benz M-Class sport utility vehicle is newly equipped with an ML320CDI diesel model and an ML63 AMG generating 503 horsepower. Buyers of the Mercedes-Benz R-Class receive two more options in 2007. A diesel powered R320 CDI as well as a high-performance R63 AMG model pumping out 507 horsepower is now offered with the premium crossover wagon. A CLS550 and SL550 are presented with more potent V-8 engines. A new E320 BlueTEC introduces a cleaner diesel-powered sedan to the premium brand's line-up. The 2007 Mercedes-Benz CLS63 AMG also boasts an enhanced level of horsepower from the same engine equipped with the R63 AMG. No longer available from the Mercedes-Benz line-up in 2007 is the C55 AMG sedan.
