In addition, Ram is offering its Military Bonus Cash incentive. If you're a customer who is Active, Active Reserve, Retired Military, Retired Military Reserve or are an honorably discharged veteran within 12 months of your discharge date, you're eligible for $500 Military Bonus Cash under Ram Truck’s Military Incentive program. This offer applies to purchases and leases on select 2019 and 2020 Ram vehicles.

Fiat Chrysler idled its Sterling Heights, Michigan factory indefinitely on, after revealing that an employee at the facility tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19). This is the facility where the Ram 1500 pickup is produced.

A company spokeswoman for Ram Truck told the Detroit Free Press that employees were sent home Tuesday, March 17th after news of the positive test broke. The day before, Fiat Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, and the UAW came to a mutual agreement on implementing a number of new precautionary measures to continue auto manufacturing in the U.S. in the coming weeks.

“The company is working to align the plant’s shift pattern with yesterday’s announced agreement with the UAW. Further information regarding the resumption of operations will be shared later today," the spokeswoman said.

The Ram pickup is Fiat Chrysler’s (Ram Truck’s parent company) best-selling model line, and was also the second best-selling vehicle in the U.S. last year. The Sterling Heights plant produces the latest generation of the Ram 1500 pickup.
