2018 Vehicle Dependability Study: Most Dependable Trucks
The annual J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS) measures what has gone right and gone wrong with 3-year-old vehicles, according to the people who have owned them since they were new. After surveying thousands of original vehicle owners, J.D. Power gathers and analyzes the data, and reports its findings in the annual VDS.
In order to assist consumers who are researching used vehicles, J.D. Power creates Power Circle Ratings based on this information. These visual representations of the study’s findings allow used-vehicle shoppers to understand how dependable different makes and models are, according to the VDS. In turn, consumers can make more informed decisions about what to buy.
This Most Dependable Pickups guide includes those 2015 model-year vehicles that receive a Power Circle Rating of 4 or 5 out of a possible 5 for vehicle dependability after three years of ownership. They are listed in alphabetical order.
