2019 Acura RDX
2019 Acura RDX - Overview
The 2019 RDX’s pentagon-shaped front grille is the first ever to grace an Acura. The new design gives the RDX’s front end a unique and bold appearance when combined with its seven-lamp LED headlights. A chrome Acura emblem sits in the middle of diamond-shaped grille accents.
The 2019 Acura RDX’s A-Spec trim gives a new set of wheels, a redesigned front and rear fascia, and exclusive badging to the SUV. A rear roof spoiler adds an aerodynamic touch. With the addition of sleek gloss black accents, the RDX A-Spec is as eye-catching as it is performance-worthy.
A sculpted and rounded rear end and dual exhaust finishers give the 2019 RDX a stand-out look. An aggressively sharp taillight design mimics the concave license plate area. LED lamps in the taillights leave an especially lasting impression at night.
A large panoramic moonroof brings the outdoors into the RDX, giving everyone a perfect view no matter where they sit. The moonroof grabs more than half the roof’s realty to provide an impressively open feel from inside the cabin. A tilt and slide feature is included on each trim.
Inside, the RDX focuses on the driver with controls and instrument clusters at your fingertips. A leather-wrapped steering wheel adds a bit of comfort and luxury to the driver’s area. A center console pass gives access to a charging station for wireless devices.
The 2019 RDX has a longer wheelbase than previous versions, allowing rear passengers more room to get comfortable. The extended body not only increases legroom for rear passengers but also headroom. Leatherette-trimmed seating comes standard, while upper trims benefit from premium upholsteries.
With under-floor storage and folding rear seats, the RDX has plenty of space for cargo. With second-row seats up, the cargo area gives up to 31.14 cubic feet of storage space. With those seats down, passengers get an impressive 79.8 cubic feet of storage space.
All RDX models feature a multi-view camera that turns on when in Reverse to help drivers park in almost any situation. The camera displays on a 10.2-inch central screen with access to Apple CarPlay. Apps like YouTube, Maps, and Apple Music are all available at the driver’s fingertips.
A brand-new turbocharged inline-four engine offers more torque and better gas mileage in the city than the outgoing V6. Mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission, the RDX ranges up to 24 mpg combined. Front-wheel drive is standard, but Super Handling AWD is available on each trim.
The True Touchpad Interface works like a laptop trackpad to give drivers and passengers optimal control over the infotainment system. This useful safety feature keeps the driver’s eyes on the road instead of on the screen. With lightning-quick touchpad response time, there’s not much of a learning curve required.
