Positioned between the larger Acura TL and smaller Acura ILX, the front-wheel-drive (FWD) 2013 Acura TSX is classified as a compact sedan by the EPA, offers a choice of 4-cylinder and V-6 engines, and provides seating for 5. A sport wagon version is also available and, like the sedan, arrives unchanged for 2013.

Exterior Features

Acura has fitted its base 2013 TSX sedan and sport wagon variants with automatic xenon HID headlights, front fog lights, rain-sensing wipers, and heated turn signal mirrors that automatically tilt down when the TSX is shifted into reverse. Also standard are dual exhaust tips, 17-inch alloy wheels, power tilt/slide moonroof, and roof rails specifically for the TSX sport wagon.

The TSX Special Edition sedan is distinguished by a lower body kit, while 18-inch alloy wheels highlight the TSX V-6 sedan.

Interior Features

Every 2013 Acura TSX model offers standard Bluetooth connectivity, perforated leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, heated front power seats with 8-way adjustment for the driver and 4-way adjustment for the passenger, and a rear 60/40 split-bench seat. Sound comes from a 360-watt audio system that can be controlled with buttons mounted on a leather-wrapped tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel. The assortment of standard amenities also includes an auto-dimming rearview mirror and memory settings for the driver.

Aluminum pedals and red interior accents are reserved for the 2013 TSX Special Edition sedan.

Optional Features

Acura offers a Technology package for the 2013 TSX, providing upgrades such as a 415-watt (460 watts in the sport wagon) surround-sound system, voice-activated navigation system with real-time traffic and weather updates, and a rearview camera. Sport wagons are equipped with a power liftgate.

Under the Hood

The 2013 Acura TSX sedan and sport wagon are equipped with a standard 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that delivers 201 horsepower and 170 lb.-ft. of torque when paired with a 5-speed automatic transmission featuring paddle shifters. When mated to an available 6-speed manual gearbox, the engine generates 172 lb.-ft. of torque. The 2013 TSX sedan's available 3.5-liter V-6 engine, offered only with the automatic transmission, generates 280 horsepower 254 lb.-ft. of torque.

A 6-year/70,000-mile warranty covers the 2013 Acura TSX's powertrain, whereas all other parts are covered by a 4-year/50,000-mile new-vehicle warranty.

Fuel Economy

EPA fuel-economy estimates for the 2013 Acura TSX are:
