Dodge, Fiat Chrysler’s performance-oriented car brand, is trimming its lineup for 2017. The slow-selling Dart compact sedan is cancelled, and Dodge has announced that this will be the final year of the Viper sports car. The aged Grand Caravan continues without the redesign bestowed upon the Chrysler Pacifica, and the Journey crossover SUV soldiers forth. Challenger, Charger, and Durango models benefit from a slew of cosmetic improvements.

- Performance-tuned Challenger T/A trim level debuts
- Active exhaust system standard for versions with 5.7-liter V-8 engine
- Lightweight wheels reduce unsprung weight for SRT trim levels
- LED “SRT” logo on steering wheel of SRT trim levels
- SRT Hellcat receives new badges to further set it apart
- Next-generation Uconnect infotainment system debuts with faster start-up time, upgraded processor, smartphone-projection technology, and improved graphics
- With navigation, map display supports tap, pinch, swipe gesture control
- Houndstooth cloth seats standard on several trim levels
- Four new colors: Destroyer Gray, Octane Red, Yellow Jacket, and Green Go
- Charger Daytona returns to the lineup with 5.7-liter or 6.4-liter V-8 engine
- All Chargers with a 5.7-liter engine add a standard active exhaust system
- Houndstooth cloth standard for SXT and R/T trim levels
- New black 19-in. aluminum wheels for SXT with all-wheel drive and Rallye package
- SRT trim levels gain lightweight wheels to reduce unsprung weight, and new LED “SRT” logo on steering wheel
- Blind-spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert is standard for SRT 392
- SRT Hellcat has revised badges to draw greater distinction between it and other Chargers
- Next-generation Uconnect infotainment system with more powerful processor, faster start-up time, better graphics, smartphone-projection technology
- Optional navigation system includes gesture control with tap, pinch, and swipe capabilities
- New paint colors include Green Go, Octane Red, Destroyer Gray, and Yellow Jacket
- SXT now comes standard with 5-passenger seating; a third-row seat is optional
- Limited trim is discontinued, replaced by Durango GT which offers monochrome exterior paint
- Durango R/T offered with new soft dashboard wrap, black roof rails
- Blacktop appearance package for GT and R/T has new 20-in. wheel design
- Brass Monkey appearance package expanded to GT as well as R/T
- New Anodized Platinum appearance package for Durango Citadel includes 2-tone premium leather, soft dashboard wrap, exposed silver stitching, anodized gunmetal and platinum chrome interior trim
- Rear camera offers a view of a trailer while it is being towed
- New paint colors: Rhino, Diamond Black, Walnut Brown
- Lineup trimmed to SE, SE Plus, SXT, and GT trim levels
- Standard 6.5-in. touch-screen radio with reversing camera
- Grand Caravan SE price drops by more than $1,000
- SXT adds equipment while the price remains the same
- GT is previous R/T, equipped with more features at a better value
- Blacktop appearance package is standard for SE Plus; optional for SXT
- New Contusion Blue paint color
- Crossroad trim level gets new satin carbon wheel finish
- GT trim replaces R/T, adds more equipment
- Spitfire Orange and Rhino are new paint colors
