New for 2015: Audi

2015 Audi Overview

Look at Audi's 2015 model lineup and one thing becomes clear: the company's engineers and designers certainly haven't been enjoying a lot of leisure time. While many of the automaker's models may appear to be direct carryovers from 2014, the truth is most models-such as the A4/S4, A5/S5/RS 5, A6/S6, A7/S7/RS 7, and TT/TTS-return with changes ranging from added standard features to new paint colors and option packages. The A8 and S8 go a step further with updated front and rear styling, and the R8 is tweaked with an Alcantara headliner and Laser Red brake calipers. Audi's Q5 and Q7 crossovers and Allroad wagon have been updated as well, and are now joined by the all-new, 4-cylinder-powered Q3. Also making its debut is the 2015 A3, a smaller alternative to the A4, one that's available in sedan and convertible body styles.

2015 Audi A3/S3

Until recently, the so-called entry-level sedan in Audi's lineup was the A4, but that changes with the launch of the all-new A3, which is also available in convertible (or, in Audi terms, cabriolet) form. Buyers have their choice of front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD), turbocharged gasoline and diesel engines, and a 292-horsepower sport variant dubbed the S3.

What's New

  • All-new model for 2015
  • Sedan and convertible body styles
  • FWD or AWD capability
  • Turbocharged gasoline and diesel 4-cylinder engines available

2015 Audi A4/S4

Audi's popular A4 sedan returns for 2015 in Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige trim levels, which now feature the sporty S line style package, headlight washers, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, and triple-zone climate control as standard equipment. In addition to those upgrades, the 2015 Audi A4 has new Technology (formerly Navigation) and Sport Plus packages, as well as an S line Competition package consisting of black mirrors, piano black interior accents, and leather/Alcantara upholstery. All 2015 A4s are fitted with a 220-horsepower, turbocharged, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that drives either the front or all four wheels.

For those who prefer to dial things up a notch, the 333-horsepower AWD S4 also continues to be available and shares upgrades with the 2015 A4.

2015 Audi A5/S5/RS 5

Essentially a 2-door coupe or convertible version of the A4, the AWD 2015 Audi A5 is available in the same Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige trim levels and draws power from the company's turbocharged, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine. Progressively sporty S5 and 450-horsepower RS 5 models are also on the menu.

For 2015, the A5 has been treated to the S line exterior styling treatment on all but the base Premium trim level, which has been upgraded with standard HID headlights and LED taillights. Further enhancements include a lane-departure warning system bundled with the Navigation and Technology packages, the introduction of Sport Plus (replaces High Gloss Black package) and S line Competition packages, new carbon fiber engine cover and red brake calipers for the 2015 RS 5, and available matte black 20-in. wheels.

The 2015 Audi A6 can be equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder, gasoline-powered 3.0-liter V-6, or diesel-powered 3.0-liter V-6 engine. Packed under the hood of the 2015 S6 is a 420-horsepower V-8.

Trim levels for the 2015 Audi A7 consist of the gasoline- or diesel-powered Premium Plus and Prestige, both of which now feature standard lane-departure and rear-collision warning systems, and 4-zone automatic climate control. The A7 Prestige adds LED headlights and a head-up display.

Available with FWD or AWD, the 5-passenger 2015 Q3 is offered in Premium Plus and Prestige trim levels and is equipped with a standard turbocharged, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 200 horsepower and 207 lb.-ft. of torque.

Trim levels include Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige.

Among the revisions for 2015 are a standard power tailgate and HID headlights on all variants, new paint colors, lane-departure warning system added to the Navigation and Technology packages, introduction of a High-Glass Black package for the performance-oriented SQ5, and an Audi Exclusive Line package for the Q5 Hybrid.

  • Premium trim levels add standard HID headlights and power tailgate

2015 Audi Q7

There are no major changes marking the arrival of the 2015 Audi Q7 crossover, though several new equipment packages and a few content tweaks distinguish this year's model from its predecessor. New-for-2015 options include Offroad Style Plus and Sport Style Plus packages, each with various black exterior accents, unique exterior styling touches, and either 20- or 21-in. alloy wheels. In addition, the Luxury package trims the interior in copious amounts of leather below an Alcantara headliner, the mid-level Premium Plus trim level now boasts Audi's side-assist safety technology as standard equipment, and the top-of-the-line Q7 Prestige features the company's Cornerview camera system.

Engine choices include supercharged V-6 gasoline engines generating 280 or 333 horsepower, and a turbocharged diesel that produces 406 lb.-ft. of torque.

What's New

  • New and upgraded option packages
  • Standard chrome accents

2015 Audi R8

Updates include the addition of standard power-folding heated mirrors, optional Alcantara headliner with diamond stitching, Laser Red brake calipers, available sport exhaust system, and a few new paint colors. R8 shoppers continue to have their choice of hardtop and convertible (spyder) body styles, as well as 430-horsepower R8 V8, 525-horsepower R8 V10, and 550-horsepower R8 V10 Plus variants.
