New for 2018: Dodge

Following cancellation of the Dart compact car after the 2016 model year, the slow-selling Viper sports car has come to an end. That leaves a collection of aged Dodge cars and SUVs that rely on either low prices or massive power infusions in order to generate interest from consumers.

Detailed changes for each Dodge car, SUV, and minivan are shown below, the models listed in alphabetical order.

2018 Dodge Challenger

  • Ultra-performance SRT Demon debuts, with 840 horsepower and 770 lb.-ft. of torque
  • New SRT Widebody model pairs the Hellcat’s 707-horsepower engine with the Challenger GT’s wider bodywork and 305/35R20 tires
  • Standard equipment includes a reversing camera and power windows that lower and raise with a single touch
  • SXT adds a 7-in. touch-screen display for the Uconnect 4 infotainment system, which includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • SXT Plus and R/T Plus with Super Track Pak gain leather and Alcantara suede performance seats
  • GT includes 19-in. aluminum wheels with painted pockets
  • R/T trims offered with Performance Handling package including Brembo brakes with red-painted calipers and performance suspension tuning
  • SRT 392 includes lighter aluminum wheels as standard equipment and can be upgraded to Brass Monkey-finish wheels
  • SRT Hellcat has a new grille, “Air Catcher” headlights with Hellcat logo, fender badges, and red dashboard logo
  • New options for Hellcat include Demonic Red super-premium leather, Nano Steel wheel finish, and brake calipers painted orange, black, and gunmetal
  • New colors: F8 Green and Indigo Blue

2018 Dodge Charger

  • Standard equipment includes Uconnect 4 infotainment system with 7-in. display screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone-projection technology, reversing camera, and rear park-assist sensors
  • Versions with a V-6 engine are offered in SXT, SXT Plus, GT, and GT Plus trim levels
  • Charger SXT Plus with Super Track Pak available with an appearance package including revised styling and, when optioned with leather, premium Nappa leather with Alcantara suede inserts
  • Charger GT trims equipped with all-wheel drive make 300 horsepower and include 19-in. aluminum wheels, Dodge Performance Pages technology, and gloss black front styling
  • Charger R/T Scat Pack and Daytona 392 now available with red-painted brake calipers
  • SRT 392 comes standard with lighter aluminum wheels in low-gloss black and can be upgraded to Brass Monkey-finish wheels
  • SRT Hellcat gets new grille, fender badges, red instrument panel badge
  • New options for Hellcat include Nano Steel wheel finish, Gunmetal Gray stripes, Demonic Red super-premium leather, and brake calipers painted black, orange, and gunmetal gray
  • New colors: F8 Green and Indigo Blue

2018 Dodge Durango

  • Powerful new Durango SRT debuts with 475-horsepower, 6.2-liter V-8 engine
  • SRT tows 8,600 lbs., accelerates to 60 mph in a claimed 4.4 seconds
  • SRT includes a full-day session of instruction at the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving, leather and Alcantara suede seating, carbon fiber interior trim. Super-premium Demonic Red leather is an option.
  • All 2018 Durangos feature a leather-wrapped sport steering wheel with paddle shifters and a new transmission shifter design with a separate manual shifting gate
  • All 2018 Durangos are equipped with a reversing camera, rear park-assist sensors, and a Uconnect 4 infotainment system including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • GT has a standard power rear liftgate and leather seats with simulated suede inserts. A Technology package is a new option.
  • GT equipped with Blacktop or Brass Monkey appearance packages can be fitted with same hood as R/T and SRT trims
  • Citadel and SRT trims are available with a Dinamica suede headliner for a more luxurious look
  • Citadel, R/T, and SRT gain front park-assist sensors
  • R/T and SRT trims have a Widebody appearance with a new hood including a functional air intake and heat extractors
  • New colors for R/T and SRT: B5 Blue and In Violet

2018 Dodge Grand Caravan

  • As reported by Automotive News, production is delayed while Dodge improves the minivan’s side-impact, occupant ejection-prevention capabilities in order to meet U.S. regulations for 2018

2018 Dodge Journey

  • Lineup shrinks to SE, SXT, Crossroad, and GT trim levels
  • Third-row seat is now standard on all trims
  • Blacktop appearance package now offered for SE trim
  • Crossroad trim adds standard “Black Noise” 19-in. aluminum wheels
