2013 Dodge Model Overview

This year, the big news from Dodge is the introduction of the new 2013 Dart, an entry-level sedan based on an Alfa Romeo platform and the first model to debut since Chrysler and Fiat partnered several years ago. The rest of the Dodge lineup sees minor to moderate modifications for 2013, with the full-size Charger sedan benefitting from numerous upgrades.

2013 Dodge Avenger

The Dodge Avenger is a midsize 5-passenger sedan that slots into the lineup between the new Dart and the large Charger, and is sold in SE, SXT and R/T trim levels. The SE and SXT have a standard 173-horsepower, 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine. A 283-horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6 engine is optional on the SE and SXT, and standard on the R/T.

2013 Dodge Challenger

The Dodge Challenger is a rear-wheel-drive, 5-passenger large coupe that harkens back to the days of traditional muscle cars. Offered with a 305-horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6 engine, 372- to 375-horsepower 5.7-liter V-8, or a 470-horsepower 6.4-liter V-8, the 2013 Challenger is available in any of seven trims: SXT, SXT Plus, Rallye Redline, R/T, R/T Plus, R/T Classic and SRT8 392.

2013 Dodge Charger

The Dodge Charger is a full-size 5-passenger sedan offered with rear- or all-wheel drive. The Charger SE, SXT and SXT Plus trims are equipped with a 292-horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6 engine. For 2013, some versions of the V-6 generate 300 horsepower. The Charger R/T, R/T Plus, R/T Road & Track, and R/T Max trims have a 370-horsepower, 5.7-liter V-8 engine. The Charger SRT8 is equipped with a 470-horsepower, 6.4-liter V-8 engine.

2013 Dodge Dart

Based on an Alfa Romeo Giulietta platform, the new 2013 Dodge Dart is a 5-passenger sedan available in SE, Aero, SXT, Rallye, Limited and R/T trim levels. A 160-horsepower, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine is standard on all except the R/T trim, which has a 184-horsepower, 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine. A turbocharged, 160-horsepower, 1.4-liter 4-cylinder engine is optional on SXT, Rallye, and Limited trims. Although positioned as Dodge's entry-level model, the Dart is rated as a midsize car by the EPA, and comes with a 13.1-cubic-foot trunk.

2013 Dodge Durango

The Dodge Durango is a large 7-passenger SUV equipped with a choice between rear- or 4-wheel drive. Four trims are available: SXT, Crew, R/T and Citadel. A 290-horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6 engine is standard on the Durango SXT and Crew, with a 360-horsepower 5.7-liter V-8 included on the R/T and Citadel trims.

The Dodge Grand Caravan is a 7-passenger minivan powered by a 283-horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6 engine driving the front wheels through a 6-speed automatic transmission. Distinguishing characteristics include a base price of less than $20,000 and an available Stow 'n Go seating system that allows both rear rows of seats to be stored in the minivan's floor to expand cargo capacity. Buyers can choose a 2013 Grand Caravan in AVP (American Value Package), SE, SXT, Crew and R/T trim levels.

A 173-horsepower, 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine is standard in the AVP, SE and SXT trims. A 283-horsepower, 3.6-liter V-6 engine is optional in the SXT and standard in the Crew and R/T trims.
