Founded in 1978, Performance Cat started selling the successful Prindle sailboats. In 1989, Performance Cat began building sailing vessels designed around the competition specifications of the North American Catamaran Racing Association (NACRA). With the NACRA line of boats constructed in Australia and Europe, Performance Cat manufactures their boats in Santa Ana, California. Performance Cat products are best suited for serious sailors desiring race-like handling.
