Fast Facts

A new budget-friendly cruiser motorcycle, the 2014 Royal Enfield Continental GT contains a great deal of classic design traits blended with modern technology. Manufactured in India, the steel frame and bodywork for the Continental GT is sourced from United Kingdom companies. Described as a “café racer” by Royal Enfield, the 2014 Continental GT’s design sports race bike styling found during the 1950s and 1960s. Bodywork for the motorcycle is available as red or yellow in color accented by a considerable use of chrome. The 2014 Royal Enfield Continental GT rides on 41-millimeter telescopic front forks while the rear relies on the ride control of twin Paioli shocks. Excel 18-inch wheels are combined with Pirelli Speed Demon tires and the stopping power of disc brakes allowing the Continental GT to coast smoothly on roads. Coupled with the retro styling theme is a contemporary engine featuring electronic fuel injection. An air-cooled, single-cylinder 535 cc four-stroke powerplant generates 29.1 horsepower. The engine is connected to a five-speed constant mesh transmission and can be started by electric means or through a kick-start.
