Salt Water Note - Research indicates that boats exclusively used in salt water, which are not maintained and cleansed with fresh water, may depreciate more rapidly. This could influence the book value 10% to 15%.
Founded as Water Sports of Texas in 1987, Comet Boats manufactured and sold mini powerboats. Building 10-foot vessels composing of plastic hulls, Comet Boats were personal watercrafts powered by small gasoline engines. Production of Comet Boats watercraft ended after the 2004 model year.
