As 2016 came to an end, cold weather swept across many regions in the U.S. with a decline in on-road motorcycles sales alongside it. Snowmobile season arrived early, though to the delight of many enthusiasts. The powersports industry is looking to bounce back from a relatively flat 2016 where consumers and dealers were in a holding pattern.
More manufacturers are releasing lower entry price models for 2017 to entice buyers into purchasing new models once again. This combined with many new noncurrent model year units still at many dealerships will give consumers with tighter budgets the ability to purchase new models.
