Volkswagen Passat Wagon Models and Passat Wagon History

A new 2.0-liter diesel engine model was offered in 2004, while the 4Motion all-wheel-drive feature was delayed for the Passat Wagon. The car also received updated wheels and new side mirrors. In 2005, the W8 model was discontinued and the trim levels were updated. An all-new Passat Wagon graced showroom floors in 2006, featuring three more inches of length and width on the body, a roomier cabin and a long list of available features and options. Model years 2007 and 2008 had no major changes, with various updates to trim levels being made. In 2009, the trim levels were reduced, and several optional packages were revamped and trimmed down. The DSG dual-clutch automated manual transmission was added in 2010, alongside a new steering wheel and Bluetooth integration.
