About RAV4 Hybrid
After producing two all-electric versions of the RAV4, Toyota rethought their strategy for an eco-friendly variant of their compact sport utility vehicle for 2016 with a hybrid powertrain. The Toyota RAV4 Hybrid gasoline/electric pledged both greater power and fuel efficiency than the conventional RAV4. The 2016 RAV4 Hybrid's 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine paired with electric propulsion through front and rear drive motors result in a combined 194 horsepower. An electronic on-demand all-wheel drive comes standard on the RAV4 Hybrid fed by an electronic continuously variable transmission. Able to travel up to 33 miles per gallon through combined city and highway driving, the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid's fuel economy is 8 miles per gallon better than the all-wheel drive equipped, gasoline-only RAV4. XLE and Limited trim levels include dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity as well as an Entune audio system.
