Rolls Royce Wraith Models and Wraith History

Rolls-Royce brought a ghost back to life in 2014 with the debut of the two-door Wraith. The Wraith's name first connection to Rolls-Royce was back in 1938 with it appearing sporadically with certain products related to the high-end luxury car builder in later decades. The 2014 introduction of the Rolls-Royce Wraith came as a two-door fastback coupe based on the Ghost sedan. Powered by a 624-horsepower V-12 engine mated with an eight-speed automatic transmission optimized with GPS data, the Rolls-Royce Wraith's handling has been presented as a balance between performance and luxury feel. Gaining access to the interior through coach doors (more commonly known as suicide doors), the Wraith features soft-touch leather, voice activated connectivity referred to as ‘on-board valet' and an optional Starlight Headliner integrating 1,340 fiber optic lights. Through Rolls-Royce, a considerable amount of bespoke touches can be added onto the Wraith allowing high-level factory personalization. For 2016, a special Wraith Black Badge model features a darkened exterior, aluminum-threaded carbon fiber surfaces and additional torque.
