Conducted annually, the J.D. Power U.S. Customer Service Index (CSI) StudySM measures customer satisfaction with automotive service at a franchised dealer or independent service facility for maintenance or repair work among owners and lessees of 1- to 5-year-old vehicles. The Sales Satisfaction Index Study—redesigned for 2017—measures satisfaction with the sales experience among new-vehicle buyers and rejecters, who are those who shop a dealership and purchase elsewhere.
