The all-new Cayman by Porsche hit showroom floors in 2006, offering an engine that was capable of cranking out up to 340 horsepower. In 2007, the S version was added as an economical option for buyers with fewer features. No changes were on the ballot for 2008. But in 2009, the V6 engines were upgraded, the PDK double-clutch automated manual was introduced, the front styling was revamped and the hill-holder feature was offered as a standard feature. A new steering wheel was the only change for 2010.
Bluetooth and iPod integration became standard features in 2011. In 2012, the Cayman R debuted, offering a lighter frame and better suspension. 2013 would see no major changes, with an all-new design being released in 2014.
