Nissan Versa Sedan Models and Versa Sedan History

A satisfying vehicle for new car buyers on a budget, the Nissan Versa subcompact car range has demonstrated a maximized level of efficiency since its 2007 model year debut. Alongside a hatchback version (classified as the Versa Note in 2014), a sedan version of the 2007 Nissan Versa featured a quality design and roomy interior not often found for a vehicle at its starting price. Powered by a 122-horsepower 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine, the Versa Sedan came standard with a six-speed manual transmission but also offered a four-speed automatic as well as a continuously variable transmission. In 2008, the Nissan Versa Sedan gained the availability of a Sport package adding unique exterior styling details including a rear decklid spoiler and fog lights. For 2010, anti-lock braking system became standard on all Versa models. Re-engineered for 2012, the Nissan Versa Sedan received a more mature appearance, revised engine power and increased rear passenger legroom while still maintaining an economy car price tag. Lighter weight than its predecessor, the 1.6-liter four-cylinder powerplant utilized a dual fuel injector setup. An optional SL Tech Package for the 2014 model year included a RearView Monitor as well as NissanConnect with navigation supplied through a 5.8-inch touch screen. The 2015 Nissan Versa Sedan underwent a significant make-over highlighted by a refreshed front end and the standard inclusion of Bluetooth connectivity on all models.
