Nissan NV-Passenger Model History
All New and Used NV-Passenger Model Years and History
Built and designed for the North American marketplace, the Nissan NV commercial van lineup was rolled out in 2012 based on the same dependable chassis used by the Nissan Titan pickup truck. Arriving to market just slightly after the NV Cargo version, Nissan's NV Passenger model utilized the large cabin to accommodate up to four rows of seating. With a maximum capacity able to transport 12 passengers, the NV Passenger allowed operators the latitude of tailoring the interior to as many as 324 possible seating layouts. Equipped with large entry doors, other features found on Nissan's large passenger van included 17-inch wheels, air conditioning as well as cup and bottle holders throughout the cabin. Supplied with two powerplant choices, buyers of the 2012 Nissan NV Passenger could be propelled through a fuel-efficient 4.0-liter V-6 or a 317-horsepower 5.6-liter V-8 engine. The NV Passenger van received minor upgrades for the 2013 model year and a standard Tow Package with V-8 powered models in 2014. In 2015, Nissan updated the available navigation system to an infotainment unit operating with NissanConnect. Peak performance for the 2017 Nissan NV Passenger van was enhanced by the addition of a new 375-horsepower 5.6 Endurance V-8 engine.
