Nissan NV Cargo Models and NV Cargo History
Initiating a massive entrance into the lucrative commercial vehicle business in the United States, the Nissan NV was introduced for the 2012 model year as a cargo van and later a passenger van. A large capacity commercial van, the 2012 NV Cargo van came as both Standard Roof and High Roof model. Attached to the NV2500 HD and NV3500 HD, the High Roof option provided 76.9 inches of interior height. With total cargo volume rated at 234.1 cubic feet and 323.1 cubic feet, the Nissan NV Cargo commercial van provided a wide array of upfitting possibilities for business or fleet use. A rear-wheel drive van operating through a five-speed automatic transmission, the 2012 NV Cargo van featured a choice of a six-cylinder or eight-cylinder power option. A 4.0-liter V-6 engine generated an ample 261 horsepower while demonstrating respectable fuel economy. The more potent 317-horsepower 5.6-liter V-8 engine allowed presented the Nissan NV Cargo van with a maximum available towing capacity of 9,500 pounds. Unchanged for 2013, Nissan NV Cargo models for 2014 gained added features on the S and SV trim levels as well as a standard Tow Package with the eight-cylinder engine. For 2017, Nissan added some additional potency to the commercial van with a new 375-horsepower 5.6-liter Endurance V-8 engine.
