While the new MINI Cooper Hardtop models shared the same platform type, the four-door was situated on a wider wheelbase and 6.3 inches longer in overall length. The additional size translates to additional interior space resulting in a more usable rear passenger space as well as greater luggage space. Aesthetics of the MINI Cooper Hardtop 4 Door can be modified with contrasting black or white roof and mirror caps as a no-charge option. Offered in a base and the sportier S trim level, the Cooper Hardtop 4 Door's momentum was furnished by a new MINI TwinPower Turbo engine family. The base trim received a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine generating 134 horsepower while a 189-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder powerplant came with the Cooper Hardtop 4 Door S model. Beyond standard features such as fog lights, dual-zone climate control and Minimalism technology that includes engine start/stop function, optional equipment packages
