All-new for 2009, the MKS by Lincoln marked the entry of a new full-sized luxury sedan that was lauded for offering the latest and greatest technologies; like Synch multimedia integration, cruise control that used a radar to adapt, Sirius Travel Link and even a powerful THX sound system, amongst numerous other amenities. It was powered by a 3.7-liter V6 engine that could deliver 270 horsepower. In 2010, the MKS boasted the all-new EcoBoost, featured alongside of a twin-turbocharged V6 engine. The carmaker also added desirable standard features that include automatic windshield wipers (rain-sensing), paddle steering wheel shifters, xenon head lights (adaptive), remote entry/start and a powered shade for the window on the rear. The 2011 model rolled out with minor changes to technology features and no other major changes. The only notable change for 2012 was the addition of a blind-spot and cross-traffic collision alert system. Redesigned for 2013, the MKS offered style updates inside and out, a laundry list of new standard equipment, an upgraded engine with enhanced fuel economy and minor tweaks made to the suspension to improve the ride. Subtle changes were made to various optional upgrades for the 2014 model year.
