New and Used MKC Prices, Lincoln MKC Model Years and History
The Lincoln MKC was first revealed as a concept car at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show as a largely production-ready compact crossover vehicle. Displaying Lincoln's design language exhibited with the MKZ sedan's modern and rich contours, the MKC was quickly green-lit for the premium vehicle marketplace following a good auto show reception. Among few design differences between the concept and production car was the addition of conventional door handles. A glass roof similar to Lincoln's concept crossover (called the Vista Roof) was introduced as an optional equipment choice. Other captivating feature of the 2015 Lincoln MKC was the available Approach Detection system that projects an illuminated ‘Welcome Mat' when the key fob is registered nearby. Front-wheel drive and available all-wheel drive propulsion for the MKC comes from turbocharged and direct-injected EcoBoost, four-cylinder engines. A 240-horsepower 2.0-liter is found on the base model while an all-new 2.3-liter EcoBoost powerplant producing 285 horsepower made its Lincoln debut on the crossover. For 2016, minor changes on the MKC included an upgraded SYNC 3 connectivity system.
