One year after its premiere in the Infiniti line-up as the JX35, the three-row crossover vehicle had been rebranded the QX60 for 2014. The luxury-oriented seven-passenger vehicle touts versatility as well as economy. Featuring an unusual powertrain layout for modern Infiniti vehicles, a 265-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 engine matched with a continuously variable transmission. Most attractively offered with optional all-wheel drive, the QX60 is also one of the only Infiniti models available with front-wheel drive as a lower cost choice. Leather upholstery with eight-way power front seats, tri-zone automatic temperature control, Bluetooth connectivity and six-speaker audio system comes standard on all 2014 Infiniti QX60 crossovers. Along with the 3.5-liter V-6 powered model, a hybrid gasoline/electric-propelled version of the premium crossover was all-new for 2014. Offered with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, the Infiniti QX60 Hybrid combined 2.5-liter supercharged gasoline engine and 15 kilowatt electric motor generates a net output of 250 horsepower. Average fuel economy for the hybrid premium crossover is 26 miles per gallon. A revised continuously variable transmission incorporating an enhanced D-step shift logic system was adopted by the 2015 QX60.
