Directly descending from the EX 35 but renamed the QX50 for 2014 to reflect Infiniti's new naming strategy, the small crossover vehicle represented an introduction to the luxury brand's premium utility line. Offered with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, the Infiniti QX50 is exclusively powered by a 325-horsepower 3.7-liter V-6 engine. Standard equipment for the QX50 provides a healthy taste of premium comfort for an entry-level Infiniti. Leather seats, dual-zone automatic temperature control, RearView Monitor and a six-speaker audio system are included on base and Journey trim levels of the crossover. Bluetooth was added to all QX50 models for the 2015 model year. With the imminent arrival of the QX30 for the 2017 model year, the QX50 has been extensively redone for 2016. The wheelbase length of the 2016 Infiniti QX50 is 3.2 inches longer than the previous year's variant. The extra space is used to substantially increase rear seat legroom and knee room. A redesigned front end, an updated look to the 19-inch wheels and standard moonroof is also present for the 2016 QX50.
