INFINITI Q50 Hybrid Models and Q50 Hybrid History
Debuting as an all-new premium sedan for 2014, the Infiniti Q50 was unveiled with a smart, energetic style drawn from the Infiniti Essence concept car. In addition to the 3.7-liter V-6 powered base engine, a fuel-saving Q50 Hybrid was also integrated featuring the Infiniti Direct Response Hybrid system. Combining a 3.5-liter gasoline engine with a single electric motor, the 2014 Infiniti Q50 Hybrid's combined momentum of 360 horsepower was channeled through a seven-speed automatic transmission. Available with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, a maximum combined city/highway fuel economy of 31 miles per gallon is available through the premium hybrid sedan. Similar to the conventional 2014 Q50, the Q50 Hybrid boasted a number of high-tech features such as Infiniti InTouch dual display system and optional Infiniti Direct Adaptive Steering. For 2018, the Infiniti Q50 Hybrid received an exterior and interior refresh that will include the company's first use of ProPILOT driver support technologies.
