INFINITI G37-Sedan Model History
All New and Used G37-Sedan Model Years and History
Through the addition of a completely-new powerplant to their entry-level sedan model, the G35 Sedan was designated as the G37 Sedan for 2009. Introduced a year after the G37 Coupe, the Infiniti G37 Sedan's biggest gain was a new, larger displacement VQ37HR engine. Generating 328 horsepower, the 3.7-liter V-6 utilized Variable Valve Event and Lift and Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System. Engine power was handled through either a six-speed manual or an all-new seven-speed automatic transmission. Like the previous model, the Infiniti G37 was available with rear-wheel drive as well as all-wheel drive. The exterior of the Infiniti G37 Sedan employed a color finish protected by Scratch Shield paint. Inside, the G37 Sedan's cabin came standard with leather seating with power adjustable front seats. Styling for the Infiniti G37 Sedan was updated in 2010 while a Sport Appearance Edition and Limited Edition package added greater equipment for the 2011 model year. The Infiniti G37 Sedan was renamed the Q50 as the start of the 2014 model year.
