The top-selling automotive product in the United States, the Ford F-150 has won over customers requiring high utility. Not only is the F-150 seen as a durable powerhouse, it also has one the best MPG among all other trucks. Farmers, ranchers as well as government commercial entities owe the job to the F-150 truck since 1975. Between 1998 and 2014, the Ford F-150 underwent a series of advancements improving efficiency and overall capability. An aerodynamically efficient design was incorporated on the Ford F-150 in the late 1990s. The Ford F-150’s popularity is credited to the impressive flexibility gained through multiple trim levels or body styles.
A regular cab, extended cab and four-door SuperCrew version of the Ford F-150 is currently available. Configured for extreme off-roading, the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor debuted in 2009 as a high-powered performance variant. Typically associated with V-8 engine power (eight-cylinder engines were the only powerplants available on the 2009 and 2010 model year trucks), Ford added a twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V-6 engine to the F-150 line-up in 2011.
