The Cadillac Escalade ESV was introduced in 2003 as an extended wheelbase model to the base Escalade. 14 inches longer between the front and rear wheels than the conventional Escalade, the 2003 Cadillac Escalade ESVs overall length was 221.4 inches. The increased length of the luxury sport utility vehicle is used to increase cabin volume. Comfortably seating up to eight occupants, interior space was generous. With 63.6 cubic feet of cargo space while provided inside the Escalade ESV when the third row seating was removed, maximum cargo volume when the second row seating is folded down is 108 cubic feet. Available only with a full-time all-wheel drive and standard equipped with StabiliTrak, the Escalade ESV provides the confidence of a hardened sport utility vehicle with the handling expected from a luxury product. A 345-horsepower 6.0-liter V-8 engine paired with a heavy-duty four-speed automatic transmission powered the 2003 Cadillac Escalade ESV. In 2004, a Premium Edition trim package introduced a host of high-class features to the Cadillac Escalade ESV. Heated/cooled front and second-row seating as well as an in-vehicle DVD entertainment system comprised of dual seven-inch screen and wireless headphones were found on the 2004 Escalade ESV Platinum Edition. Given refreshed styling for 2007, a new 6.2-liter V-8 engine generated 403 horsepower and 417 pound-feet of torque was added to the Escalade ESV. The 2008 model year provided the choice of a two-wheel drive system on the extended length Cadillac sport utility vehicle. For 2015, the Cadillac Escalade ESV will benefit from a ground-up redesign introducing a greater level of sophistication to the luxury vehicle.
