Audi S5 Coupe Models and S5 Coupe History
When the Audi A5 Coupe was introduced in 2008, an enriched ‘S' badged version of the new two-door was also prepared with some extra potency. The quattro all-wheel drive 2008 Audi S5 Coupe received a 4.2-liter V-8 engine featuring Fuel Stratified Injection (FSI). Generating 354 horsepower and 324 pound-feet of torque, the S5 Coupe came standard with a six-speed manual gearbox while a six-speed dual-clutch S tronic transmission was optional. Accompanying the engine upgrade with the S5 Coupe, a unique grille, sport-tuned suspension, high-intensity discharge headlights and sport seats are among the added equipment. The Audi S5 Coupe received only minor changes until the 2013 model year when considerable changes were undertaken. In addition to a refreshed front and rear appearance for the two-door coupe, the vehicle dropped its naturally-aspirated V-8 engine in favor of a supercharged V-6 powerplant. An enhanced four-passenger interior was also included with the 2013 Audi S5 Coupe. For 2018, a completely new Audi S5 Coupe features a strikingly updated look. A turbocharged FSI 3.0-liter V-6 engine motivating the 2018 S8 Coupe with 354 horsepower is married to an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission. Standard equipment found on the new coupe is Audi pre sense city, contrast diamond-stitched sport seats, aluminum matte brushed interior inlays.
