New and Used Vanquish Prices, Aston Martin Vanquish Model Years and History
Created as a high-performance two-door, the Aston Martin Vanquish presented the extremes of the British auto company when it was introduced to the marketplace for the 2002 model year. Derived from the Project Vantage concept car of 1998, the 2002 Aston Martin Vanquish was only available as a coupe shaped by aluminum body panels. Constructed on a bonded aluminum chassis with carbon fiber components, the 2002 model featured 460-horsepower from a 5.9-liter 12-cylinder engine. The V12 engine of the Aston Martin Vanquish paired with a six-speed transmission, operated with electro-hydraulic paddle shifters. Coinciding with its debut in the marketplace, a Tungsten Silver-colored Aston Martin Vanquish appeared in the James Bond movie “Die Another Day”. Offered as a 2+2 or a pure two-seater, 1,489 Aston Martin Vanquish cars were sold from 2002 to 2005 before being replaced by a more powerful Vanquish S. Aston Martin reintroduced the Vanquish nameplate in 2013 as a 565-horsepower successor to the DBS. Carbon fiber material is exclusively used to sculpt the 2013 model. Propelling the 2012 model is a 5.9-liter V-12 engine that connects to a Touchtronic 2 six-speed automatic gearbox. Acceleration times for the 2013 model from 0 to 62 miles per hour is estimated within 4.1 seconds. Inside, a standard infotainment system and lightweight seating provides the Aston Martin Vanquish riders with a rich, leather environment. For 2014, the first convertible version of the Aston Martin Vanquish called the Vanquish Volante will be sold featuring a retractable soft top.
