A British luxury car company renowned for its two-door sport vehicles, Aston Martin's history also includes the occasional production of four-door models. Coming 19 years after the putting an era to their flawed Lagonda four-door, Aston Martin revisited their attempt at a unique sports car with the Rapide in 2010. Becoming the second time Aston Martin used the Rapide name, the first occurred in the 1960s for a sedan-like vehicle based on the DB4. Referred to as a four-door sport coupe, Aston Marin Rapide heavily draws upon the DB9 for styling inspiration. The Aston Martin Rapide's hand-built, 470-horsepower 6.0-liter V-12 engine was directly derived from the brand's grand tourer. Along with the four doors, a 197.6-inch total length for the Rapide is the most tell-tale sign distinguishing it from the DB9. Developed with a four-passenger layout, the interior of the Aston Martin came with a standard 16-speaker stereo system supplied by a Bang & Olufsen. Sold from 2010 to 2013, the Aston Martin Rapide was upgraded in 2014 to a more powerful Rapide S.
