The 2020 Ford Escape is coming to the public with an entirely new design. The 2020 version will have four powertrain options, as well as two hybrids. The new Escape will also have a variety of safety and driver-assist additions such as CoPilot360, which comes standard, and Active Park Assist. The grille on the 2020 model was drawn from the latest Mustang, and drivers can see the influence of the Ford GT in the lower front end. Standard on the Ford S, SE and SEL grades are a new 180-horsepower 1.5-liter 3-cylinder EcoBoost engine along with cylinder deactivation combined with an all-new 8-speed automatic transmission. Every Escape comes standard with Ford Co-Pilot360, including auto emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, a rear backup camera, and auto high beam lighting. Adding to the safety, Ford also offers Evasive Steering Assist, a technology that detects a slow-moving or stationary object in front and also provides steering support to avoid a collision.
