BMW's iDrive software for their enhanced infotainment system, including the optional Touch-Control tablet at the rear, now runs on Version 7.0 in the new 2020 7 Series. A Back-Up Assistant also joins the options list for the 7 Series. This feature remembers steering inputs for the previous 50 yards and, at the push of a button, retraces those steps. The new 745e will feature an inline 6-cylinder engine, while its electric-only range is also expanded by a few extra miles. The most prominent changes show up on the exterior of the 7 Series. It has an-all new fascia, headlights, and grille. The newly designed grille is 40 percent larger and now extends back toward the hood. A recently available V8 engine and a superior Plug-In Hybrid power are in store, also. The 4.4-liter V8 is new to the BMW 7 Series and comes as the motor in the 2020 750i xDrive.
