The automaker ditches the gas-powered version of its Fortwo to go all-electric with the new EQ ForTwo. It’s billed as a city car for which it succeeds admirably with a top speed of only 81 mph. The vehicle has a 58-mile range, thanks to its 81-horsepower electric motor powered by a 17.6-kilowatt-hour battery pack with a 120-volt charging cable. And it’s so darn cute with its full range of exterior color choices. The interior consists of plastic material which shaves off some weight and improves its performance. The appropriately named car has the necessities including automatic climate control, remote keyless entry, Bluetooth, cruise control, a backup camera, and LED daytime running lights. Available add-ons are smart device integration, leather upholstery, a voice-activated radio, navigation system, premium stereo upgrade, and heated steering wheel. It comes in either a convertible, Cabriolet, or coupe body style with three optional packages. It is the manufacturer’s only offering.
