Since its inception in the early 1960s, the 911 has been the embodiment of sleek, sporty styling. The 2019 model is no different, offering a timeless dash with an analogue rev dial reminiscent of the 1970s and a multi-function steering wheel. The redesigned center console features an updated gear lever and electronic hand brake. A touchscreen provides navigation and infotainment options as well as on-board apps to help with planning trips and monitoring the car’s energy efficiency. Porsche has also added advanced driving assistance features like wet mode, which calibrates the car’s stability systems to handle water on the road, and a brake assist system that can detect an impending collision and initiate emergency braking. The exterior features a wider rear window, OLED taillights, and an updated spoiler that improves downforce. Additionally, the exterior mirrors are now slightly larger, and the door handles have been mounted flush to improve aerodynamics.
