Love this vehicle.... This is my third Porsche. Started with a 1978 911SC Targa, Then a 2008 911S and now the 2019 911 Porsche Turbo S Convertible. The driving characteristics of this vehicle are amazing. The 4 wheel drive makes the car track nicely. This car is fast! The 7speed Transmission shifts smoothly and the car handles like no other Porsche I have driven. The convertible easily retracts and makes the summer driving in the wine country a true driving experience.

The most practical sport car (short of a Turbo S). A 911 GTS is fun to drive and provides amazing handling. By today's standards 450 hp might not scream high performance but the car is plenty fast for US highways and a lot of fun to drive in North Georgia mountains. The only problem is that a flat tire = a flat bed truck and a trip to the dealership. Typical for a Porsche maintenance costs are high but the car is a lot of fun and rather dependable.

The 911T truly has an ideal combination of standard features which makes it an extra sporty and relatively affordable version of the 911. My car also has the Carrera T interior package, Bose stereo, and rear axle steering which are essential options. The car is gorgeous, corners like a slot car, and is very quick. Even with sport suspension and 20 inch wheels, ride is not harsh. Manual shifter is tops. Exhaust note is throaty when switched to sport, but not too loud. Interior is fun with a bit of throwback feel. Gas mileage is very respectable. Although some equip these cars with winter tires and drive them year round in these parts, mine is stored for 4 months and sorely missed!

18 way seats are better than 14 way but still don't offer correct back support. Car otherwise is fun to drive, except for the tire noise above 40 mph.

For me, the decision came down to the Mercedes SL63 AMG, the Mercedes GT, and the 911. All 3 vehicles offer luxury, power, and beautiful exterior styling. Two features available on the 911 made the decision for me - the presence of a back seat (I have 2 small children), and the ability to get a manual transmission (which is not available in the Mercedes). I went with the 4S, which has a slightly stronger powerplant than the standard carrera, and has all wheel drive. I love the car. Would recommend it to anyone. Great brand, great community associated with the brand, a joy to drive.
