The Ford Taurus made it another year for 2019, with its classic, smooth ride. Last year’s model took out the power adjustable pedals (except in the SEL trim), and the turbo 2.0-liter cylinder option was discontinued. Now standard is a 3.5-liter V6 with 288 horsepower and 254 lb.-ft of torque combined with a six-speed automatic transmission. Electronic stability control, post-crash alert, and rollover sensors are standard. Collision warning, a power moon roof, adaptive cruise control, active front seat bolster, and heated and cooled seats are an option. The Ford Fusion Hybrid also survived into 2018 among the crossover market. This model tops its 37 mpg highway gasoline rating with 42 mpg combined in the hybrid. The Fusion Hybrid removed the S and Platinum trims, and safety tech like lane-keeping assist and blind spot monitoring are in. The Fusion Hybrid keeps its 2.0-liter four-cylinder continuously variable engine (CVT).
