Acura is upping the game with driving assistance and safety features linked to their AcuraWatch™85. A substantial list of Acura driver assistance systems was engineered to back driver instincts. This comes standard on each new RLX and MDX and is also available on all sedans and SUVs. Additionally, AcuraLink® monitors driver performance sends service reminders with an option to schedule instantly, allows drivers to lock or unlock the vehicle from anywhere, and offers live assistance, 24/7. Acura’s Collision Mitigation Braking System is an innovative feature that alerts the driver to obstacles detected ahead. This system utilized both radar and a camera and is programmed to provide visual alerts when a crash is possible. In the case of a non-reactive driver, it can automatically brake for everyone’s safety. Combined with adaptive cruise control and lane assist, Acura is making vast strides in the future of driving. Acura is also testing a self-piloting car with the current goal of releasing a highly-automated driving technology around 2020.
