For 2018, McLaren introduces a feisty successor to their high-performance 650S supercar with the 720S. Showcasing a radical, new styling direction inspired by the Great White Shark, the exterior of the 2018 McLaren 720S supercar features a glass canopy roof and maintains dihedral doors. The McLaren 720S is constructed upon a carbon fiber MonoCage II structure boasting enhanced rigidity and occupant protection. A 710-horsepower, twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V-8 engine is used to power McLaren's new rear-wheel drive flagship. The less expensive McLaren 570 returns for 2018 with the addition of an open-air model. Equipped with a lightweight retractable hardtop that can hold away in 15 seconds, the 570 Spider required no additional structural stiffening over the coupe thanks to the vehicle's carbon fiber construction. The 2018 McLaren 570 lineup is powered by a twin-turbocharged V-8 engine that generates 562 horsepower.
