Acura has continually added upgrades and enhancements to each model year of the MDX since the debut of the current generation back in 2014, and the 2019 edition is no exception. The cabin is roomy and quiet, with plenty of noise deadening and comfortable seats to provide a smooth and pleasant ride. Fold-flat seats maximize the already generous cargo capacity, and there’s plenty of onboard tech. You get dual screen entertainment in the second row, Apple and Android integration, five USB ports, surround sound, satellite radio, and voice recognition, to name just a few goodies. Acura pays close attention to safety as well, offering head airbags for all three rows, pre-collision warning and accident avoidance systems, a post-collision safety system, and dusk-sensing LED headlamps. Under the hood, the 3.5-liter V6 engine generates 260 horsepower, and there’s a 9-speed shiftable automatic transmission. All three models also get a 4-year, 5,000 mile basic warranty.
