After performing just minor improvements to the Compass in previous years, Jeep's trail rated expertise has finally turned attention towards the small crossover vehicle. The new look 2017 Jeep Compass marries the front grille design of the Grand Cherokee with the Renegade's roof line. Given a more globalized focus with the new generation, the United States version of the 2017 Jeep Compass is powered by a 180-horsepower 2.4-liter Tigershark engine available with one of three transmissions and front-wheel drive or two versions of four-wheel drive. Beyond the all-new Compass, series of equipment upgrades are found for many 2017 Jeep products. A Trailhawk version of the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee bolsters the off-road performance of the sport utility vehicle with package incorporating Goodyear Adventure tires and a specially-developed Quadra-Lift air suspension. HID headlights have been expanded to standard equipment on all 2017 Jeep Cherokees excluding the base Sport trim level while the Wrangler now offers optional LED headlights and fog lamps.
