2016 model year changes

The Mercedes-Benz GLA gets several improvements for 2016, most notably through the addition of new standard features. A 7-inch display now replaces the standard 5.8 inch one from last year, while keyless start and dual-zone climate control are also new standard items on the GLA range for 2016. New optional items include a 180-degree rearview camera and a dynamic drive-mode selector. The AMG version now makes an additional 20 horsepower as well.

Special features for 2016

Mercedes-Benz enters the increasingly crowded luxury compact crossover segment with the GLA-Class. Its sedan underpinnings and small stature make it a nimble performer, with favorable comparison against competition from BMW and Audi. The high-performance GLA45 AMG takes things to a different level, however, and nothing from any manufacturer can rival it.
The Benz GLA-Class comes in several trims with plenty of upgradable options and room to seat five passengers. Standard outfitting includes: 18” alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, fog lights, powered rear liftgate, automated wipers, powered front seating, faux leather upholstery, 60/40 split and fold rear seating, the COMAND interface with 5.8” touchscreen, Bluetooth/iPod/USB integration, HD radio and basic audio system. Upgrades can add auto-dim mirrors, two-zone climate control, GPS, larger wheels, larger touchscreen, collision mitigation system, bi-xenon headlights, interior wood accents, Harmon Kardon audio system, panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, sport-tuning, and more. Driving the GLA-Class is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that gets 208 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.
