2016 model year changes

The Mazda CX-5 gests a mild refresh for 2016 that includes exterior styling tweaks, as well as further refinement to the interior. A new grill and new taillights are the most obvious change to the outside of the vehicle, while the most obvious change to the interior is a brand new sound system. The Mazda CX-5 is more comfortable than in years past, with new front seats and revised suspension, allowing for a smoother ride.

The 2016 CX-5 by Mazda offers plenty of room for five and is available in three trims with a nicely equipped base model. Standard outfitting includes: 17” alloy wheels, all-powered accessories, tilt and telescope steering wheel, 60/40-split folding rear seat, Bluetooth/iPod/USB integration and a four-speaker audio system. Upgraded trims and options can tack on things like a 7” touchscreen console with smartphone integration, back-up camera and collision mitigation system, 40/20/40-split folding rear seat, upgrade upholstery, powered and heated driver seat, sunroof, larger 19” wheels, LED head lamps, running lights and tail lamps, two-zone climate control and nine-speaker Bose sound system. Two engines are offered: a 2.0-literfour-cylinder engine that’s rated at 155 horsepower and 150 pound-feet of torque; or a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that gets 184 hp and 185 lb-ft of torque.
