Base outfitting offers 16” alloy wheels, heated and powered side mirrors, fog lamps, remote entry/start, two-zone climate control, cooled glovebox, powered front seating, tilt and telescope steering wheel, Bluetooth/iPod/USB integration and six speaker audio system. Upgrades can add LED daytime running lights, parking camera, larger wheels, 8” touchscreen console, heated steering wheel, heated front and rear seating, premium eight-speaker Infinity audio system, HD radio, panoramic sunroof, collision mitigation system, leather upholstery and more. Powering this vehicle is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder that’s paired with an electric motor and battery pack, able to make 199 horsepower and 235 pound-feet of torque.
2016 model year changes
The Optima was redesigned for 2016, and Kia has made many changes aimed at improving handling and comfort while reducing noise, which means the Optima is more pleasant to drive than ever. A new 1.6L turbo is the new entry-level powerplant and comes connected to a new-for-2016 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Kia's UVO infotainment system has been revamped and includes several new features aimed at parents of teen drivers.
