The Ford Mustang is a 2+2 coupe that’s offered in six trim levels. The base V6 model is outfitted with 17” alloy wheels, xenon headlamps, LED tail lamps, remote entry/start, limited-slip rear differential, all-powered accessories, parking camera, tilt and telescope steering wheel, Sync voice command interface with 4.2” display, USB integration and a basic six-speaker audio system. Upper trim levels and optional upgrades can add larger (up to) 19” wheels, vanity rear spoiler, parking assist system, active noise cancellation, sport-tuned suspension, brakes and steering, custom interior racing gauges, two-zone climate control, heated, powered and ventilated seating, 8” touchscreen with the MyFord interface, 12-speaker premium sound system, leather upholstery, collision mitigation system and much more. Driving this pony is an upgradable 3.7-liter V6 engine that puts out 300 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque.
2016 model year changes
The Mustang was fully redesigned for 2015, and for 2016, minor updates include the available SYNC 3 infotainment system, which replaces the previous MyFord Touch. On the GT, secondary turn signals are now incorporated into the hood vents. That model also features new wheels and stripes, while new packages include the Pony, California Special, and Black Accent packages. EcoBoost and V8 GTs can now be ordered with black roofs.
