Special features for 2016

The 2016 BMW 6-Series continues BMW's tradition of high-speed grand-touring models by laying down the fundamentals in a capable-handling coupe, convertible or 4-door Gran Coupe model, then offering a long list of high-tech enhancements that can improve performance. Meanwhile, the Gran Coupe is an unusual offering, with the sleek roofline of a coupe and all the performance of the 2-door 6-Series models, complemented by four doors and enough rear-seat space for adults. M6 models continue to stun with their over-the-top performance and a dynamic personality that can be dialed in with various settings for all of its electronic controls.
The BMW M6 is offered in either coupe or convertible formats, with seating for up to four and one stacked trim level. Standard equipment includes: 19” premium alloy wheels, adaptive suspension, automated xenon headlamps, LED fog lamps, powered and heated side mirrors, parking sensors (front and rear), automated and soft-closing doors and optional carbon-fiber roof (coupe models only). A well outfitted interior boasts features that include: two-zone climate control, remote entry/start, leather upholstery, powered tilting and telescoping steering wheel, carbon-fiber interior accents, BMW’s iDrive interface with 10.2” touchscreen, Bluetooth/USB/iPod integration, and 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. Options can add on an upgraded exhaust, stability control, black chrome exterior accents, adaptive LED headlamps, powered rear sunshade, collision mitigation system, 20” wheels, carbon-ceramic brakes, night vision driving system, 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system and more. Powering the M6 is a beefy, twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine that churns out 560 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque.
