2016 model year changes

The BMW 4-Series receives only minor changes for 2015. Much of the equipment of the Sport Line is now standard, including high-gloss black exterior accents, sport seats, and an Anthracite headliner. Also, both the Luxury Line and M Sport Line are no longer available, while a Track Handling Package adds 18-inch V-spoke wheels, M Sport brakes, adaptive M suspension and variable sport steering. The M4 also gets standard keyless entry and Harmon/Kardon sound.

Special features for 2016

The BMW 4-series is a stylish car that offers most of the performance and styling of a sports car without compromising too much comfort or practicality. It features sleek, low styling and is available in a few different body styles, including as a convertible. Performance is brisk, but ride and comfort have been carefully balanced to provide a driving experience that is both entertaining and somewhat luxurious. The BMW 4-series competes with sedans and coupes such as the Audi A5, the Mercedes Benz C-Class and the Lexus IS. Prices start at just over $40,000. Starting at around $65,000, the top of the line M4 offers blistering performance and razor-sharp handling but in a practical coupe package. Power output from the turbocharged 6-cylinder engine is impressive, but the smaller engine displacement means fuel economy is still decent at around 20 mpg combined EPA. The M4 is available in both coupe and convertible form.
The BWM M4 is a two-door coupe that can seat four people, offered in convertible and hardtop variants, with a nice list of standard equipment. The base model offers 18” premium alloy wheels with touring tires, sport-tuned suspension and braking systems with locking differential, xenon headlamps, sport-tuned exhaust with four tailpipes, sport enhanced body kit, folding/heated/powered side mirrors, remote entry/start, powered and heated front seating, leather upholstery, two-zone climate control, GPS with 8.8” touchscreen console, Bluetooth/iPod/USB/Smartphone integration and 16-speaker Harmon Kardon sound system. Options can add front headlamp washers, front/rear parking sensors, LED headlamps, collision mitigation system, carbon-ceramic brakes, automated parking system, powered rear sunshades, sunroof and more. The M4 features a bodacious and turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine that churns out 425 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque.
