2016 model year changes

For 2016, Audi has introduced several changes to the A7 lineup. For starters, the front and rear ends have been slightly restyled, with a new front fascia including LED headlights and a wider grille. LED taillights and trapezoidal tailpipes in the lower rear bumper complete the look. Under the hood, the 3.0L V6 found in 3.0T models now boasts 333 horsepower, up from the previous 310. Combined fuel economy gets a boost, too, up from 21 mpg to 24 mpg. Audi has also given the A7 an all-new iteration of its MMI infotainment system, which now includes LTE connectivity and an optional Bang & Olufsen audio system. Finally, the S7 also gets a power boost, with horsepower jumping from 420 to 450.

Special features for 2016

From a design standpoint, the Audi A7 is a standout in the market; while competitors such as the BMW 5-Series GranTurismo come close, the A7 is the least "SUV" in this segment. Inside, the A7 is a paragon of great design, as its cabin feels lush and detailed without being functionally complex. Even so, the A7 is very roomy, with enough space for adults in back. Technologically, the A7 is also near the head of its class. The Google Earth mapping with live updates feel a full generation ahead of the systems in many rival models; and the MMI touch system -- which brings a fingertip touch pad that allows data entry without looking away from the road or focusing on a screen-based pointer -- is also revolutionary.
The four-passenger Audio RS 7 sedan is offered in one trim level that’s very nicely stacked with features and amenities. Outfitting includes: 20” wheels, LED headlamps, sport-tuned air suspension (adaptive), sunroof, powered lift gate, parking sensors (front and rear), collision mitigation system, remote entry/start, premium leather upholstery, interior LED lighting, tilt and telescope steering wheel, auto-dim rearview mirror, quad-zone climate control, Bluetooth/iPod/USB integration with 8” touchscreen console, back-up camera, Wi-Fi roving hotspot and a 14-speaker Bose sound system. Upgrades can add sport-tuning, more back-up cameras, custom leather seating, 15-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, 21” wheels and more. Driving the RS 7 is a 4.0-liter V8 engine produces 560 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque.
